Our barrier islands still bear the names given them by the pirates of three centuries ago...Captiva, Sanibel, Gasparilla, Marco Island, and others. Today they offer a wonderful spectrum, from secluded anchorages to four-star marina resorts, making Southwest Florida the premier cruising grounds in eastern America. Established in 1984, Yachting Vacations is highly experienced in yacht charters and sales. Our staff of seasoned sailors has been with us for many years, and they pride themselves on giving thorough, personalized service. Yachting Vacations’ fleet consists of only high quality yachts, maintained to perfection by our experienced crew. Our mono-hull yachts are all outstanding Island Packets, winners of several “Yacht of the Year” awards. In addition, we have several spacious catamarans with up to four cabins. In addition to being beautiful, our yachts are equipped with many custom features, including: full electronic instruments, GPS, dinghy and outboard motor, outboard motor hoist, roller furling headsails, all sheets and towels, air-conditioning, refrigerators, auto-pilot, 4-speaker stereo and full galley supplies. Most charterers will tell you that the BEST thing about our quality fleet is the condition of the yachts, they are...showroom perfect. All systems on board work as they’re supposed to and the yachts are impeccably clean. Most of our charters are “bareboat,” i.e. no captain is provided. You and your group are the skipper and the crew. To qualify for a bareboat charter, you must demonstrate on your resume a blend of the following criteria: (1) sanctioned sailing/cruising courses such as ASA, (2) skipper on previous yacht charters, and (3) ownership of comparable yacht.

The
Charlotte Harbor area provides every sailing opportunity imaginable, from
short island-hops, to day-sailing, to serious off-shore passages in the
Gulf of Mexico. Our protected cruising grounds are safe, even if the
weather turns a bit nasty. Burnt Store Marina is recognized as one of the
the best and largest marinas on Florida’s west coast. Just steps from our
free dockage is a fine restaurant, cocktail lounge, ship’s store, swimming
pools, golf course, tennis courts and bath houses.
