If you enjoyed Basic Keelboat Sailing (ASA 101) and Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103), you will love Bareboat Chartering (ASA 104)! Learn to safely skipper or crew on boats 30 to 50 feet in length by day in coastal waters. This live-aboard course offers the opportunity to get off the dock and really enjoy the waters of Southwest Florida.

  • Essential safety equipment
  • Troubleshooting the engine
  • Handling a vessel under power
  • The magnetic compass
  • Running aground and other nuisances
  • Steering with the sails
  • Launching, storing and maintaining your boat

As part of the ASA 104 course, you will receive:

 

  • The ASA cruising manual, Cruising Fundamentals
  • Upon completion of the course, an ASA decal showing your skill level
  • Upon completion of the course, an official Yachting Vacations certificate to mount
